Devin C. Hymas, M.D.

Dr. Devin Hymas is a board-certified ophthalmologist practicing at Lynn Eye Medical Group since 2001. At Lynn Eye, Dr. Hymas provides comprehensive ophthalmology services for adults and children over the age of eight. He specializes in cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, as well as the detection and management of glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. He also performs exams for eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions

Dr. Hymas received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he received honors in several areas of practice. He did a fellowship in ophthalmic pathology/research at the John A. Moran Eye Center in the University of Utah School of Medicine. He then completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Dr. Hymas has co-authored several articles for publication and academic presentations, as well as been involved with clinical research. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Roy T. Butera, M.D.

Dr. Roy Butera is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive care, with a special interest in cataract surgery and intraocular lens implants. Dr. Butera practices in Thousand Oaks and provides a full spectrum of ophthalmic services for adults and children over ten years of age, including routine evaluations, glasses, contact lenses, eye diseases and surgery.

Dr. Butera graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois in biologic sciences. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Scholastic Honorary. Dr. Butera then completed his internship at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, and residency training at the University of Wisconsin Center for Health Sciences, where he served as chief resident.

In addition to his training, Dr. Butera also participated in a clinical research project in fluorescein angiography at Northwestern University, co-authored several medical publications, and completed a clinical preceptorship at Guy’s Hospital in London, England. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
